Graphene Industry Showcase at the National Graphene Institute. Date: 21 June 2017. Time: 12:00 - 18:30.

  • Learn how to engage with the National Graphene Institute and the forthcoming £60m Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC).
  • Discover current progress in graphene commercialisation and the challenges of material scale-up and how the GEIC will overcome this.
  • Meet and engage with world-leading graphene and 2D materials scientists from The University of Manchester.
  • Come and see real graphene applications

Fullerex Co-founder, Tom Eldridge will join the panel session which will cover an "Overview of the Current Graphene Landscape". The panel of speakers will include Mr James Baker, Graphene Business Director - The University of Manchester (Chair), Dr Andrew Goodwin, Commercial Director - Thomas Swan, Mr Peter Hansen, Engineering Manager - Haydale Composite Solutions.

The University of Manchester leads the world in graphene research and is one of the most important centres for commercialising the one-atom-thick material. The National Graphene Institute (NGI) is the national centre for graphene research in the UK, drawing in specialists from across the globe. It houses state-of-the-art cleanrooms, plus laser, optical, metrology and chemical labs and equipment - the ideal environment for world-class graphene research.

The Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC) will fill a critical gap in the ecosystem for graphene and 2D material research, development and application in the UK. The University's second world-class multi-million pound graphene-focused centre will see industry-led development in applications through partnership with academics.
